Under the auspices of the City of Philadelphia's Out-of-School Time Professional Development Project, The Center for Youth Development (CYD) and Out-of-School Time Resource Center (OSTRC) developed the Professional Development Calendar to increase access to existing area trainings. This public website is designed to be a one-stop shop for information on trainings and professional development opportunities available to out-of-school time staff. Listed trainings will vary in format including in-person workshops, webinars, and networking meetings. Topics will also range from youth development seminars to classes on Microsoft Excel. 

For six years prior to the unveiling of this Calendar, the OSTRC produced a similarly purposed Regional Training Directory. The online Calendar will now replace this Directory. The priorities of the Calendar and training descriptions were determined through feedback from over 150 respondents to an online survey on calendar needs. The Calendar will continue to be administered by the Out-of-School Time Resource Center. 

The Out-of-School Time Resource Center supports staff from the region’s youth-serving programs by helping them gain access to various resources and professional development opportunities.
