Nowadays at my day job, I always hope for rainy days, which make the work easier, but I've been disappointed many, many times by rain forecasts that don't materialize, so the professor's words keep coming back to me. Turning now to climate, I note that climate forecasters and their computer models have wrongly predicted doomsday scenarios more often than the Seventh-Day Adventists, the Jehovah's Witnesses, and Harold Camping ''combined''. When I see something approaching on the Doppler radar (up to a few hours in advance), that's when I believe.
