The Mary Louise Curtis branch in Queen Village is the oldest and largest branch of Settlement Music School.

For more than 110 years, Settlement has provided the Greater Philadelphia region with the highest quality education in music, dance, and the creative arts. We are one of the oldest and largest community schools of the arts in the nation. By providing financial aid to more than 60% of our student population, we ensure that arts education is accessible to all, from as young as 6 months to age 99.

Regardless of age, background, ability, or economic circumstances, there is a place for you at Settlement. Our significant reach, inclusive programming, and exceptional faculty ensure that any student can find a creative home at Settlement.

Settlement provides more than 10,000 weekly services to the Greater Philadelphia region—and we have served over 300,000 students since our founding in 1908.

Settlement is a sanctuary for dreamers and strivers, where people find the best in themselves. It is a home away from home for children and adults to learn, grow, and engage with their peers.

Our highly credentialed and dedicated faculty bring years of professional experience to the classroom, customizing their approach to provide exceptional training for our students.
