Bringing Culturally Relevant Food To The South Philly Community
The Asian Food Collective's mission is two-fold:
- Provide culturally relevant meals for our neighbors in South Philly.
- Bond together through food and cooking.
Cooking Free Meals for the Community: Volunteers cook weekly at Old Pine Community Center with a rotating menu of Asian cuisine and ingredients. Anyone is welcome to volunteer and all cooking-levels are welcome. The meals are donated to the South Philadelphia Community Fridge.
Building Community Through Food: We can bond with each other and creating meaningful relationships through food. Asian Food Collective builds these connections through social events and educational workshops.
Note: The above descriptive information came from the organization's Our Mission page.
