Social Services in Southwest Philly Serving African and Caribbean Immigrants

The African Cultural Alliance of North America Inc. (ACANA) is a non-profit agency founded on a mission to provide culturally sensitive social services, arts and cultural programs, legal services, community engagement and development programs and other services to African and Caribbean immigrants in the United States.

ACANA’s objectives are to not only assist new residents in their adjustment and resettlement, but to help them become active participants in their new environments.
In doing so, ACANA strongly believes in working with people of all backgrounds to build a better community.
Our moto of “bridging the gap” represents ACANA’s continuous effort to serve as a connector between the various cultures, ethnic groups, religions and peoples of the African diaspora.
