<br>Our Community Health Worker (CHW) workforce development program also improves health outcomes in Kensington. Our food and nutrition program, Nourish, delivers meal kits in Kensington, Fairhill and Juniata. And We CAN, a partnership funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, has brought community organizations and police together to address issues of community safety across Kensington and Fairhill.


Since our beginning in 1985, we have drawn on the strengths of these communities to empower residents and promote resident-driven development. Each year NKCDC serves more than 30,000 low and moderate income families and 60,000 residents.
We use a strategic combination of real estate development, community engagement, and people-centered direct services to ensure all of our neighbors can remain—and thrive—where they choose to live.


As just one of a team of community players, NKCDC has developed a multi-faceted approach to neighborhood revitalization.
Whether we are building affordable housing or helping residents build their wealth, we pledge to promote equity, stability, and safety in all we do, with a sharp focus on those most at risk of being displaced.

FINANTA and NKCDC are partnering to disperse hundreds of $10,500 down payment assistance loans to eligible Philadelphia homebuyers through Project Reinvest: Homeownership. The program provides qualified homebuyers a 0% interest, deferred loan not due until the loan recipient sells or remortgages the home, or the title is transferred.
