God | Family | Country
Two-time congressional candidate David Torres chairs the group, which will have office space at the Bustleton Avenue location, home of Kingdom Empowerment International Ministries.
Torres said the group will conduct voter-registration drives, take part in outreach efforts that includes distributing school supplies, winter supplies and food, along with offering family activities, health fairs and job fairs and posting job listings on its website.
State Rep. Martina White, chairwoman of the Republican City Committee, said the group will promote issues such as family values, safety, limited government and good-paying jobs. The voter-registration drive, she added, would be a step toward making Philadelphia a two-party city.
