Philadelphia, like all great cities, deserves outstanding parks that serve as sources of civic pride, joy, and well-being. Yet Philadelphia lacks a high-quality, high-amenity, city-scale, and accessible urban park.

Together, the Parkway Council along with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and the Office of Transportation, Infrastructure, and Sustainability are guiding a planning process to unlock the Benjamin Franklin Parkway’s potential to be Philadelphia's great urban park.

Note:  The above descriptive information came from the organization's A Great Urban Park page.
