In February 2026 we checked the main link of this page, and a blank "website expired" page came up. The Facebook page hadn't been updated since 2023. Therefore, until we're told otherwise, we'll assume that the following information is now history:

"Coach Jesse leading our Ulift-Youth class. Once per week, justice involved youth spend time learning weightlifting and training from our Coaches. These sessions promote accountability, trust and teamwork. In each session, youth are paired up and have an element of responsibility for each other," says UliftU.

Health Is A Human Right

UliftU is a 501c3 nonprofit. Our mission is to empower currently incarcerated and returning citizens to be professional Fitness Coaches. Through our certification program, our graduates are paid a living wage to run classes for underserved groups in an effort to fundamentally change outcomes related to chronic disease in Philadelphia.
