These notes come from a Wikidelphia meeting held on 2025 May 8. These are just notes and should not be taken as verbatim quotations.

Present were Staff Editor Paul Sank (P) and volunteer Ted Hewson (T).

9:00 PM

[P has questions lined up beforehand: What will I say at the June event? Will we give handouts? Will we make and present slides? How 'bout fliers?]

P: What should I say in the short presentation? What are my goals from your vantage point?

T: Introduce them to the tool [Wikidelphia] and its value. Get them to see the benefit of it.

P: How long should the presentation be? Five minutes, or how long?

T: [Doesn't have specific knowledge yet.]

P: Please find out and tell me as soon as you can.

Stan would be essential for the conversational parts of our presence.

T: This [the June event] is a place to find other groups doing like things. Share information. The intent: a tool to facilitate collaboration.

They often don't know who else is doing things like them that maybe they could connect with and learn from.

Make the WCS [Wikidelphia Category System] a key point.

P: What about slides?

T: Yes, you could do that. Bring an HDMI cable.

P: Fliers? Literature?

T: Yes, there'll be a chance to distribute those.

P: Would 75 copies be about right?

T: Yes.

Rather than slides, it would be better to show Wikidelphia itself in action.

The venue has a wireless network. Bring the HDMI cable.

Introduce them to the tool.

P: If I'm going to show them the tool in action, I don't want to just improvise. I'll need to make a script.

I could answer most table questions myself [if Stan can't attend].

BIG NOTE: Send CCC flier to all nonprofits with contact info on Wikidelphia.
