Linda Knapp
Linda Knapp provides management, technical support, and educational services for sustainability initiatives in both the public and private sectors. For the past twenty years she has worked for the Institute for Local Self-Reliance’s Waste to Wealth Program in researching and promoting recycling economic development projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Since 2008, she has managed EPA-funded outreach and technical support activities for the growing organics recovery infrastructure in the region. Linda has been successful in securing state, federal, and foundation funding for policy development, demonstration projects, and promotional programs that support sustainable, community-based businesses. She has effectively implemented a wide range of educational programs ranging from neighborhood workshops to national, professional conferences and trade shows. In addition, she is an educator who has taught marketing and management courses at the Community College of Philadelphia for more than ten years. She is a member of the Community College of Philadelphia Business Division team that is developing the new Entrepreneurship Certificate Program that began in Spring 2014.
