The PhilaMontco Branch ASALH, a branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), gives the following descriptive information:

Following the Spirit of Carter G. Woodson and building on the rich African American history of Philadelphia and Montgomery County area in Pennsylvania, a group of 16 like minded individuals held their first meeting Sunday, November 24, 2002. It was decided to form a new branch of the Association for the Study of African American History and Life (ASALH) named the PhilaMontco Branch ASALH to distinguish this branch from the original Philadelphia (Heritage) Branch ASALH.

The location of this organization, probably somewhere in Montgomery County, couldn't be determined.
