The Old York Road Historical Society says it "was founded in 1936 to study and preserve the history and folklore of the communities along and adjacent to Old York Road from Philadelphia to New Hope."
Over the years, the Society has continued its tradition of presenting historical lectures and publishing scholarly papers in the form of a bulletin. In addition, the Society has accumulated an impressive archive of historical materials detailing the history of the communities along the Old York Road.
The archive is open to members and the general public during normal hours or by appointment.
