At the Barber National Institute, we are committed to the mission that our founder, Dr. Gertrude A. Barber, established in 1952 – helping our children and adults develop to their fullest potential.
 
Every day, our staff provides quality care and programming to more than 4,200 individuals with intellectual disabilities or behavioral health challenges across Pennsylvania in Erie, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Warren, Corry, and Girard. We are proud to continue Dr. Barber’s legacy of Faith, Hope, and Love, and we hope that we can count on your support as we strive to take the Barber National Institute to even greater heights.
