Project Learn School is proudly located in the racially and economically diverse neighborhood of Mt. Airy on historic Germantown Avenue.

Our unique educational setting provides students and families a welcoming and comfortable environment featuring open classrooms, community room, well-equipped art studio, teaching kitchen, and spacious play yard with parent and child-tended gardens.

The school considers the use of the community resources such as the public library, recreational facilities and cultural institutions as an integral part of our program. In addition, our students take advantage of nearby Cliveden, Awbury Arboretum and trails on the Wissahickon on a regular basis for Forest School, group building activities, science, art, and outdoor learning. Many of our older students also use Daniel Rumph Recreation Center for physical education.

As a cooperative, Project Learn School is not only your child's school but also your family's school.

Project Learn co-opers accomplish many of the essential tasks which sustain and enrich our educational environment. PLS depends on co-opers to take responsibility to get jobs done properly, completely and on time, and to keep open communication with committee chairs and staff as needed to insure the smooth operation of our school. That said, PLS recognizes and aims to accommodate the busy and often overextended lives of our parents. Most of our co-op commitments can be fulfilled on evenings, weekends, and during the summer.
