Promoting the use of technology in the arts.
Our goal is to empower people and give them a sense that technology can be a tool for personal expression. We want to reinforce the idea that our world is malleable – the devices and spaces we interact with everyday can be repurposed and modified to create new experiences.
The Hacktory is incubated as a project of Nonprofit Technology Resources.
For those who have ever fantasized about going ballistic on your devices, be sure to attend the Office Space Printer Smash, co-sponsored by Nonprofit Technology Resources and The Hacktory. As the title indicates, participants will be encouraged to turn unrecyclable printers into a pile of mangled plastic and metal.
