When we are 1 year old, our knowledge of time is only one year, when we are 5, we have experience 5 times that of a 1 year old. The reason time seems to speed up is because our perception of time has changed, since we have experienced more of it, and the older you get, the more time you have experienced, the faster it seems to go. A 1 year olds perception of a day is 1/356 of its total lifespan. An eighty year olds perception of a day is 1/29220 of its total lifespan. THAT is why time seems to "speed" up
