This is an experiment administered by local artist Maggie Ginestra. She used to be good at reading, and she’s just not anymore! She often can’t really listen to the words, even when she’s incredibly excited to be reading them. The exception to this is when she’s being read to by someone else - the focus that comes from that person’s voice and presence, and the ability to stop and start together as we get lost and find our way again. Maybe reading to each other is a way to become better readers, through making it a gift to give and receive.

Thanks for your interest in The Philadelphia Readership!!

The Philadelphia Readership is an all-around free service. The hope is that readership requesters and volunteers make their best effort to discover and follow through on their readership matches. Maggie will ask you for an optional brief reflection on your Philadelphia Readership experience.
