Old City is a Center City neighborhood bounded on the north by Spring Garden Street, on the east by the Delaware River, on the south by Walnut Street, and on the west by South 4th Street and North 4th Street.

Local Description: Old City District describes its service area as "bounded by Florist Street to the north, Walnut/Dock Streets to the south, Front Street to the east and 6th Street to the west. Unofficially, the Old City neighborhood also includes the waterfront area along Delaware Avenue from Race Street to Walnut Street and the area above the Ben Franklin Bridge, north to Wood Street from 2nd to 6th Streets."

Adjoining Neighborhoods

Old City is overlapped on the north by Northern Liberties. To the east, it is across the Delaware River from Camden, New Jersey. It is overlapped on the south by Center City East. It is adjoined on the south by Society Hill. To the west, it is three blocks from Chinatown.
